Speaking about technology applied to cultural heritage it comes instantly to mind the most sophisticated detection and analysis system, newest elaboration software, or even innovative materials and techniques developed in the field of conservation and restoration. It is in this context that the need develops to shed light on the plaster, a material that is now experiencing a period of mutual vilification and its use at any site is considered taboo, even for actions on objects composed mainly of chalk itself.
