Francesca Parotti

Francesca was born in Florence, 24 May 1974. Fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese, a bit of French and Albanian. He graduated in Civil Engineering, later earned a PhD in Materials Science and Technology, in both cases with an experimental thesis on the properties of bamboo as a structural material. Always passionate about travel and photography, grows a deep interest in sustainable technologies. She is involved in research and development of new materials and costuttive environmental friendly techniques, as part of international projects with centers such as CNR-IVALSA and collaborates with Bamboo SmartTechnology. In addition to practice as civil engineer by profession, she is a professor at Syracuse University in Florence for the course "Sustainability of Environmental and Civil Systems" at the Faculty of Engineering and ISIA for the courses of "Materials Technology" and "InnovationTechnology".
